About

Mr. Terry Hagen is a Principal Logistics Analyst for CANA Advisors and is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and analytical support for all facets of logistics and is the business development lead for unmanned systems.

Mr. Hagen has 22 years of experience as a U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Officer and 27 years working in the logistics and information technology field. His focus areas include strategic planning, war reserve, supply chain management, and distribution. Mr. Hagen has led efforts for developing applications and processes focused on planning, forecasting, command and control, autonomous unmanned systems, and interagency pol-mil issues.

Since working for CANA, Mr. Hagen has worked on analytical and SME support primarily in the area of war reserve, maritime prepositioning force, and unmanned systems. Supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Logistics Command, Mr. Hagen developed an Excel-based model to track and prioritize information technology projects and a SharePoint-based Knowledge Management site for cataloging studies and analysis. For war reserve support to Headquarters Marine Corps, Mr. Hagen analyzed war reserve requirements and shortfalls for several classes of supply to aid operational and strategic decision-makers on investment decisions. Mr. Hagen then led efforts to modernize the Marine Corps legacy mainframe war reserve system with a modern approach using cloud-based solutions and Agile rapid application development to integrate with the future Marine Corps logistics cloud environment. As the war reserve product owner rep, Mr. Hagen’s efforts include developing new business processes by user role and class of supply, developing functional user stories to capture requirements, determining all data inputs, outputs, and algorithms using a “best of breed” approach, and providing expert guidance to the development team creating the applications. These applications will provide logistical planners at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels, the ability to determine requirements, provide sourcing information, measure risk, and generate an execution plan that until now has never been fully realized.

Mr. Hagen also leads business development efforts for CANA Drone Solutions which will offer a commercial product for asset management of unmanned systems wrapped in analytics. Mr. Hagen was the first Marine Corps cargo UAS project officer and oversaw the efforts for the K-MAX unmanned helicopter program that delivered millions of pounds of cargo in Afghanistan.
