Principal Operations Research Analyst at CANA LLC. Finding innovative solutions with data-driven insight and mathematical analysis is my passion. I seek out challenges that captivate and motivate me which expand the depth and reach of operations research and data science analytics. There are so many ways to improve or enhance the way people do business and I am grateful I love doing just that.

I oversee technical team members, manage research projects, and cultivate an innovative work environment. Accelerate DoD efforts to leverage advanced Additive Manufacturing technologies and associated workflows to address industrial supply chain challenges and logistics in contested environments. 


- Formulate and frame the problem, design the set of experiments and data collection plan, conduct post-exercise analysis, and author a comprehensive final report

Naval Postgraduate School

Director of Operations Research 

Led all students in Operations Research, Systems Analysis, Information Warfare, and Network Operations and Technology curricula.


 - Graduated more than 960 analysts from Operations Research curricula, significantly increasing the analytic capability of the U.S. Armed Forces and many international allies

 - Led and mentored teams of highly self-directed data scientists

 - Instructed and provided leadership to junior analysts, emphasizing problem formulation, responsible modeling, and the importance of effective communication 

 - Led integration efforts of Generative AI technologies in the U.S. Navy and NPS classrooms

 - Stressed the importance of ethical and responsible use of AI technologies and sensitive data

 - Authored executive briefs on research trends and strategic initiatives, translating complex technical concepts into clear, fact-based language


US Navy

Executive Director

Led a 31-person multi-national staff to coordinate all U.S. and U.K mine-countermeasure (MCM) operations (700+ personnel across four ships, two helicopters, and four special operations units) responsible for locating and countering mine warfare threats in the Arabian Gulf to ensure freedom of navigation.


 - Planned, budgeted, negotiated, and outfitted an entire new Task Force HQ location, managing a $1.3 million budget, resulting in a new HQ for a future 60 person staff

 - Applied analytical approaches and authored a Capabilities Assessment and executive presentation to effectively communicate strategic concerns to top Navy leaders, directly resulting in legacy MCM ship service lives being extended until future capabilities could arrive in Bahrain

 - Led forward command element on the largest U.S. Navy ship in the Arabian gulf, effectively communicated critical information, ensuring ship and crew survival



Naval Postgraduate School

Deputy Director/Dean of Students

Hand-selected as Vice Principal/Dean for the school’s 1,500+ resident students across all U.S. Military Services and over 20 allied nations.


 - Managed daily operations of three Student Services and Dean of Students staff and adjudicated dozens of human resource issues

 - Mentored and inspired multidisciplinary teams of military personnel and fostered a culture of excellence, engagement, and critical thinking


Operations Research Graduate Student

Earned Master of Science Degree in Operations Research and a Network Science certificate.


US Navy

Helicopter Aircraft Commander & Director of Operations

Jacksonville, Florida, United States

Planned and executed all flight operations for seven combat aircraft and 50+ pilots and aircrew. This included three aircraft carrier or training detachments, which involved movement of the seven aircraft, all support equipment, and 180 people. 


 - Instructed and led junior pilots in all disciplines of combat flying

 - Navigated complex risk scenarios and trained junior pilots in making critical decisions under pressure

 - Led squadron through a successful combat recertification in which the squadron pilots scored the highest academic and flying grades of any Navy squadron that year


Previous U.S. Navy Positions

Various Locations Worldwide

- Directed all U.S. Navy Theater Security Cooperation efforts with Bahrain, Pakistan, and four other regional allies during a period of unprecedented Middle East tension and unrest

 - Planned and executed the U.S. Navy’s 4th annual Maritime Infrastructure Protection Symposium managing a $100K budget and assembling 150 delegates from 20 countries

 - Planned and executed the U.S. Navy’s multi-warship participation in Pakistan’s AMAN 2011 multilateral exercise with 29 participating nations

 - Won two helicopter aircrew of the year awards for heroic efforts in saving all seven lives onboard following a catastrophic tail rotor failure at night and over water

 - Earned three Flight Instructor of the Quarter awards and one Flight Instructor of the year award

 - Authored 40+ safety reports which resulted in earning the coveted Grandpa Pettibone Award

 - Authored and won three Navy-wide safety awards
