About
Ms. Connie McKissack is currently the Chief Operating Officer of CANA. As the COO and former Director of Programs and Project Management for CANA LLC Ms. McKissack is responsible for contributing directly to driving excellence in program management practices and delivering project management activities to clients.
Ms. McKissack has 20 years of experience in program and project management. Her program and project management focus areas include software development, analytics, and business process management.
Ms. McKissack has managed several programs and projects focused on delivery of software development, data management, and business process management.
Throughout her career Ms. McKissack has been focused on how technology supports growing organizations and has volunteered at non-profits to seek ways of improving virtual workforce communication through digital transformation.
As the Project Manager of several projects, including decision support tools that enabled USMC customers to visualize equipment tracking and readiness, Ms. McKissack led geographically dispersed teams to collect requirements, rapidly build and enhance web-based software, and exceed customer expectations. Ms. McKissack helped drive operational improvements of the USMC Master Data Repository (MDR) and apply analytics to drive equipment insights.
Ms. McKissack has worked as a manager of a team of project management professionals delivering improved project management practices, delivery of a portfolio of Information System (IS) projects within a manufacturing industry, and authored business cases for the application of business process modeling in a global Project Management Organization (PMO). She was a key team member of the enterprise PMO team to improve the operational efficiencies of a multinational automotive manufacturer.
Supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers (ACoE), Ms. McKissack provided project management expertise in a growing team of project managers by modeling processes and defining the scope of project management within the acquisition branch. Ms. McKissack formulated recommendations from analysis of organizational structure, policies, and operations of the ACoE and developed solutions that enabled the branch team to achieve its goals.
