CANA Senior Operations Research Analyst

CANA is seeking new talent! We are seeking a Senior Operations Research Analyst to provide ethically derived analytical results to support high-impact decisions by CANA clients. The ideal CANA candidate is a proven leader in the Operations Research community, with a broad range of application experience, knowledge, and abilities. Past experience on logistics problems is highly desired. 

Position Overview

CANA provides a diverse spectrum of commercial, federal, and non-profit clients with operations planning, analytics, logistics, and supply chain support, program management, and technical data development. As part of the CANA team, the Senior Operations Research Analyst will be able to execute all activities within the life cycle of analysis and modeling and simulation development. 

 

He/She can develop models and simulation programs in multiple software languages and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software packages, and will have demonstrable expertise in formulating and coding linear and non-linear optimization models. Experience in Python and Pyomo, as well as with commercial and open source solvers is preferred. The CANA Senior Operations Research Analyst will be able to communicate effectively at all management and technical levels, and to comfortably collaborate in a virtual, web-based environment. He/She will provide leadership over technical team members, management of research, analysis, and resulting technical products. ​

 

The CANA Senior Operations Research Analyst will have a graduate-level degree in Operations Research or a mathematically related curriculum, and will have 10 years or more of combined experience in applying operations methods to operational problems.
