It was a beautiful sunny September day in New Bern, NC. I trained all summer for this ride. I was on the starting line with 2,000 other cyclists waiting to begin the first day of a two day BikeMS charity ride. The goal of the event was to raise money to fund research to find a cure for multiple sclerosis.
