Travis Hartman

Team CANA would like to welcome Travis Hartman, our newest Senior Operations Research Analyst!
Travis joins our team with 20 years of experience in the U.S. Navy. Career highlights include flying EA-6B Prowlers as a Naval Flight Officer, navigating an aircraft carrier around and across the Pacific Ocean, and directing airpower support for Allied ground forces. He also led multiple analytical studies that informed a multi-billion-dollar portfolio while assigned to the Pentagon’s program assessment division (OPNAV N81).
After retiring from the Navy, Travis gained experience with implementing extract, transform, and load (ETL) techniques, building python packages and curating models as a performer on DARPA projects. Now at CANA, he is currently working with the Office of Naval Research to develop an optimization model to enhance the maritime operational planning process.
Travis earned a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, and a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.

Tristan Rentsch

We would like to welcome Tristan Rentsch, our newest software developer, to the CANA team!
Tristan is a recent 2020 college graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Prior to working at CANA, he has worked as an intern software developer at a small tech start-up, where he developed key features for full-stack web applications.
While working at CANA, Tristan will help develop critical logistical software for the US Department of Defense.
